The Gear
For processing & editing, I use Logic Pro X, an industry standard Digital Audio Workstation. I utilise a number of the processing tools available on Logic (Compressors, De-Essers), as well as external plug-ins, such as the FabFilter Pro-Q 3 EQ, and Isotope RX7 Audio Repair. All essential in producing broadcast quality audio files. I am also adept in using Pro Tools, Adobe Audition & Reaper.
The Experience
Having a background in music, the manipulation of audio is something I have practiced for 10'000 hours and beyond. Since jumping into the world of long form audio content, I have edited hundreds of hours of Podcasts and Audiobooks. With that comes a more attuned ear to the nuances of how different processing techniques effect someone's voice and how to naturally adjust pace.
